Captain Starn's, located at Maine and Caspian Avenues, epitomized in Atlantic City the concept of a "restaurant resort". During its heyday in the 1940s and 1950s, it served up to 2,000 meals per day. It had deep sea thrill rides, cavorting sea lions, porpoises, spooky lobster pools and a marine supply shop. It even had its own fish packing house and market. It closed in 1980
